A. Craig Lockhart, MD, MHS
Dr. Lockhart is the Director, Division of Hematology & Oncology and Associate Director for Clinical Science at the Hollings Cancer Center and a Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is also a member of the ECAN Board of Directors, Chair of our Medical Research Committee.
Dr. Lockhart has been caring for patients with gastrointestinal cancers for more than 20 years. His particular areas of expertise and the focus of his research is in treating gastric and esophageal cancers. His research aims to bring new therapies to cancer patients by conducting clinical research studies involving new treatment approaches and personalized medicine.
Before joining MUSC, Dr. Lockhart was on the faculty and in leadership roles at the University of Miami, Washington University in St. Louis, and at Vanderbilt University.
